  1. If you are working from home find a designated space to work. This will help eliminate the headaches of letting work spread into personal time. It lets other people in your family know when you are working.
  2. Work to your strengths. If you know that you are terrible at bookkeeping, outsource it or if writing blogs isn’t your thing outsource it.
  3. Sell, sell, sell. When you are first starting your business, you should spend the majority of your time selling. Yes, you heard me right, 90% of your time should be spent selling in the first year of your business.
  4. Grow Smartly. If you have super fast growth it will be difficult to sustain. Grow slow and grow smart.
  5. Say no to things that don’t drive your mission. This is an important one, many new entrepreneurs really want make money so they make exceptions for work that doesn’t serve their mission. SAY NO. If it isn’t in alignment with your goals, say no.
  6. Sales cure all. When you start a business, you will inevitably feel stressed about money at some point. Remember sales cure all problems. So if you are stressed about money go out and find prospects.
  7. Don’t skimp on your website. This is the first impression someone sees when the visit your online presence make it a good one you only get one chance.
  8. Make time for your personal life. Many entrepreneurs can find themselves working around the clock towards their success and mission but don’t be fooled taking time to yourself is essential to your success. Even if its just a few minutes a day. Make time for yourself.
  9. Fitness is essential to success. Get in your 30 minutes of cardio will help you become more successful. You will be more focused when you get into the office and more energized.
  10. Enjoy the ride. There are lots of ups and downs when owning a business. Enjoy it. You stepped out on your own for a reason. Sure, it’s going to be tough but it will be worth it.
